Local Theatre

Broadway Theatre (5-minute walk). A grade II* listed building, the theatre was built in 1932 and is an example of great Art Deco design.

Parks & Cycleways

  • Riverview Walk (7-minutes walk to Riverview). This walk is through the nature conservation area.
  • Waterline Way Linear Park (7-minutes walk to Linear Park). Waterlink Way is a walking and cycling route from Sydenham to the Thames. It follows the Rivers, Pool and Ravensbourne, through many parks and green spaces. An attractive 8 mile (12km) route, it also links the borough’s three main town centres – Catford, Lewisham and Deptford.


Peckham is only 7 minutes by train. It is one of the most ethnically diverse areas of the UK, making it an eclectic hub for tantalising food choices and inspired creativity. Here are just a few things to do:

  • Franks Cafe is a summertime non-profit commissioning art project, bar and cafe, now in its 10th year.

Dulwich Village

East Dulwich and Dulwich Village are only 17 minutes by bus. They cover quite a large area and border Peckham to the East. Lordship Lane in East Dulwich has a variety of interesting shops, cafes, bars and restaurants – Dulwich Village has several parks and is home to the Dulwich Picture Gallery. Here are just a few things to do:

Greenwich is only 20 minutes by car, or Bus is 35 mins. It is home to the Meridian Line, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, the National Maritime Museum, the Old Royal Naval College including the fabulous Painted Hall, London’s cable car, Greenwich Market and Greenwich Park.

The O2 Arena is a large entertainment venue showing some of the world’s largest music and entertainment acts, it also has a bowling alley, clubs, cinema, exhibition spaces and bars.
